Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the thread at the lower crankcase.
  2. GM3216216

    Apply thread lock to the oil flow check valve thread. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .

    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install a NEW oil flow check valve (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  4. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
