Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Front Compartment Splash Shield - Remove - Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement .
- Drive Belt - Remove - Drive Belt Replacement .
Install the EN-51147 holding tool (1) to the crankshaft balancer absorber (2).
- Seize the EN-51147 holding tool (1) at the crankshaft balancer absorber (2) over the adjustable screws (4).
- Install the EN-956 - 1 extension (3) to the EN-51147 holding tool (1).
- Loosen the crankshaft balancer absorber bolt (5), counterhold with the EN-51147 holding tool along with the EN-956 - 1 extension.
Crankshaft Balancer Absorber Bolt(1) - Remove and DISCARD
- Crankshaft Balancer Absorber(2) - Remove
NOTE:
Remove the crankshaft balancer absorber in axial direction. A canting of the crankshaft balancer absorber can lead to a manipulated engine timing which will require a new camshaft timing chain adjustment.
