Inspection Procedure

Adjust the engine to cylinder 1 top dead center (TDC) of combustion stroke. Set crankshaft in direction of engine rotation until the markings (2, 3) line up. Rotate at the crankshaft balancer absorber bolt (1).
- NOTE:
If EN-51148 holding tool does not fit properly, rotate the crankshaft and additional 360 degrees.
Install the EN-51148 holding tool (1) to camshafts and to the cylinder head.
- Tighten the bolt (3) in the middle.
- Tighten the 2 outer bolts (2, 4).
- If the EN-51148 holding tool can not be installed, then refer to Camshaft Timing Chain Adjustment .
Check the markings (2) and (3). If the markings not in line then refer to Camshaft Timing Chain Adjustment
Loosen the middle bolt (3) and the 2 outer bolts (2, 4) and remove the EN-51148 holding tool (1).
