Fuel Injection Pump Removal

  1. GM2914281

    Remove the fuel injection fuel feed pipe bracket bolt (4).

  2. Loosen the 2 nuts (2, 5).
  3. Remove the fuel injection fuel feed pipe (3) from the fuel rail (1) and from the fuel injection pump (6).

    Remove the fuel injection pump cover (1).

  5. GM2969138

    Loosen the 2 fuel injection pump bolts (3) alternating in steps of turn.

  6. Remove the 2 fuel injection pump bolts.
    7. NOTE:

    Take care that during removal of the fuel injection pump the valve lifter (4) does not fall apart.

  7. Remove fuel injection pump (2).
  8. Remove the valve lifter (4).
  9. Remove and DISCARD the fuel injection pump gasket (1).
