Camshaft Cover Removal

  1. GM2966415

    Remove the 3 engine control module wiring harness bracket nuts (1).

  2. Remove the engine control module wiring harness bracket (2).
  3. Remove the 2 turbocharger coolant return pipe bracket nuts (4).
  4. Remove the turbocharger coolant return pipe bracket (3).
  5. Remove the oil dip stick.
  6. GM2966421
    NOTE:

    The bolts remain at the camshaft cover.

    Loosen the 23 camshaft cover bolts (1).

  7. GM2966422

    Remove the camshaft cover (1) along with the 23 bolts.

  8. GM2966428

    Remove and DISCARD the camshaft cover seal (1) from the camshaft cover.
