Measurement Procedure

Check Compression for all cylinders:

  1. GM3216227

    Install the EN-51150  compression / pressure adapter (1) into the spark plug hole for the cylinder that is being checked.

  2. Install a compression tester to the EN-51150  compression / pressure adapter.
  3. NOTE:

    Engine revs at least 300/min.

  4. Start the engine (approx. 4 seconds).
  5. Compare the compression values.

    Maximum pressure differential 100 kPa (14.5 psi)

  6. Transfer the EN-51150  compression / pressure adapter to the next spark plug hole.
  7. Repeat the process for the remaining cylinders.
