Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Exhaust Service Warning .

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. GM2906642

    Remove the catalytic converter front heat shield upper nut (1).

  3. Remove the 4 catalytic converter front heat shield bolts (2).
  4. Remove the catalytic converter front heat shield (3).
