Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air hose. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose Replacement .
  2. Remove the front bumper. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  3. Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill .
  4. GM2918322

    Install a suitable container to catch the transmission fluid if it drips out of the connector and the pipe.

  5. Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe (2) from the transmission fluid cooler pipe - front (1). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  6. GM2917591

    Detach the transmission fluid cooler pipe - front (4) from the 3 retainers (1).

  7. Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler pipe - front (4) from the radiator connector (3). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  8. Unclip the transmission fluid cooler pipe - front (4) from the 2 engine coolant fan shroud retainers (2).
  9. Remove the transmission fluid cooler pipe - front (4).
