Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement .
  2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Remove the water outlet housing. Refer to Water Outlet Replacement .
  4. GM2906695

    Remove the water pump inlet pipe bolt (4).

  5. Remove the water pump inlet pipe (3).
  6. Remove and DISCARD the 2 water pump inlet pipe seals (1, 2).
