Installation Procedure

  1. GM3213191

    Install the engine coolant thermostat housing gasket (2).

  2. Install the engine coolant thermostat housing with thermostat (3).
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the 4 engine coolant thermostat housing bolts (4) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  4. Connect the wiring harness plug (1).
  5. GM3213167

    Install the radiator outlet hose (2) to the water inlet housing.

  6. Close the retainer spring (1).
  7. GM3213166

    Install the charge air cooler inlet air hose (3) to the turbocharger (1).

  8. Close the retainer spring (2).
  9. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
