Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  3. GM2543435

    Unclip the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor wiring harness from the radiator clip (2).

  4. Disconnect the air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor wiring harness plug (1).
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  6. Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .
  7. GM2543430

    Disconnect the 2 wiring harness connectors (1).

  8. Unclip the 2 wiring harness clips (2).
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. GM2543438

    Remove the wiring harness ground cable nut (2) and the wiring harness ground cable (1).

  11. Unclip the wiring harness ground cable clip (9).
  12. Disconnect the engine coolant fan motor wiring harness plug (3).
  13. Unclip the wiring harness from the engine coolant fan shroud holders (4, 5, 7).
  14. Unclip the wiring harness clips (6, 8) from the engine coolant fan shroud.
  15. Remove the engine coolant fan wiring harness from the vehicle.
