Removal Procedure

  1. GM4031971

    Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Bolt(1) - Remove

  2. Bend the exhaust manifold heat shield (2) to gain access to the turbocharger wastegate actuator fixation at the rod end.
  3. GM3952777

    Remove the clamp.(1)

  4. Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Hose@Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator(3) - Remove
  5. Retainer(6)@Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator - Remove and DISCARD
  6. Nut(7)@Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator - Remove and DISCARD[2x]
  7. Apply pressure of max. 100 kPA (14.5 psi) to the turbocharger wastegate actuator hose inlet (2) by using EN-667  pump up to the level that the rod end (4) is moved and the turbocharger wastegaste actuator can be removed from the wastegaste pin (5).
  8. Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator(3)@Turbocharger(8) - Remove
