Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  2. Place the fuel tank onto a workbench.
  3. Remove the fuel tank fuel pump module. Refer to Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement .
  4. GM2834330

    Press the fuel tank baffle (1) completely down as shown in the picture.

  5. Push the lug (2) toward the baffle and hold it.
  6. Release tension from the fuel tank baffle (1) until the lug (2) engages safely.
  7. GM2834327

    Remove the baffles (1) one by one.

  8. Repeat steps 5 to 8 to remove the other baffle.
