Removal Procedure

  1. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection - Disconnect
  2. Engine Sight Shield Replacement - Remove
  3. GM4230995

    Disconnect the fuel feed front pipe (2) from the fuel feed pipe-underbody (1). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  4. Open the upper bulkhead clip (3).
  5. Remove the fuel feed pipe-underbody (1) from the upper bulkhead clip.
    6. NOTE:

    Lower the suspension frame max.55 mm (2.165 in) 

  6. Lower the front suspension frame assembly. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement
  7. GM4230996

    Open the lower bulkhead clip (2).

  8. Remove the fuel feed pipe-underbody (1) from the lower bulkhead clip (2).
  9. GM2191622

    Open the 4 fuel pipe clips (2) to remove the fuel pipe (1).

  10. GM2834311

    Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor wiring harness plug (2)

  11. Disconnect the fuel tank feed pipe connector (1) from the fuel feed pipe (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  12. Remove the fuel feed pipe-underbody (3) from the vehicle.
