Installation Procedure

  1. GM2969098
    CAUTION:

    In order to prevent any possible electrostatic discharge damage to the ECM, do not touch the connector pins.

    Install the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (5) to the bracket (3).

  2. Install the evaporative emission front pipe (2) to the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (5). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Install the evaporative emission canister purge pipe connector (1) to the intake manifold. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Connect the wiring harness plug (4) to the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve (5).
  5. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
