Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. GM2968099
    CAUTION:

    In order to prevent any possible electrostatic discharge damage to the ECM, do not touch the connector pins.

    Unclip the charge air cooler inlet hose retainer clamp (2).

  3. Remove the charge air cooler inlet hose (3) from the turbocharger (1).
  4. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  5. GM2968100

    Unclip the charge air cooler inlet hose retainer clamp (3).

  6. Remove the charge air cooler inlet hose (1) from the charge air cooler (2).
