Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- CAUTION:
In order to prevent any possible electrostatic discharge damage to the ECM, do not touch the connector pins.
Remove the wiring harness bracket bolt (2).
- Remove the wiring harness bracket (1) from the engine block.
Disconnect the charge air bypass valve wiring harness plug (6).
- Remove the 2 charge air bypass valve hose clamps (4, 7).
- Remove the 3 charge air bypass valve hoses (1, 3, 5).
- Unclip the retainer clips (arrows) and remove charge air bypass valve (2).
