Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
- CAUTION:
In order to prevent any possible electrostatic discharge damage to the ECM, do not touch the connector pins.
Remove the charge air bypass valve hose clamp (2).
- Remove the charge air bypass valve hose (3) from the charge air bypass valve - turbocharger.
- Remove the 2 retainer clips (1).
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the engine shield, if equipped. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
Remove the charge air bypass valve hose clamp (2).
- Unclip the charge air bypass valve hose from the 2 clips (3).
- Remove the charge air bypass valve hose (1) from the charge air bypass valve - intake manifold.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the charge air bypass valve hose.
