Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Motor Initialization

A new motor will be delivered in the closed position for easier installation. After installation it is necessary to change the motor to the open position. If this is not done the roof will not be able to be moved since the stowage compartment lid latch motor is in the incorrect status.

  1. Command the M89 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Motor test to Open with a scan tool.
  2. Verify the B247 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Open Switch parameter changes from Inactive to Active.
    • If parameter is not Active 

      Verify connections and repeat initialization.

    • Go to next step: If parameter is Active 
  3. All OK.
