Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:

When servicing the folding top hydraulic system, do not allow the fluid level to drop below the minimum indicator line on the reservoir, or pump damage may occur.

NOTE:

Assure that the vehicle is standing on wheels and on leveled surface!

  1. Remove the quarter inner trim finish panel - left side. Refer to Quarter Inner Trim Finish Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  2. GM3011724

    Remove the retainer clip (2).

  3. Remove the rear seat back armrest hinge bracket (1).
  4. GM3011723

    Remove the 3 fuse block bracket nuts (2).

  5. Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1).
  6. GM3011726

    Flip the fuse block bracket (2) down in a horizontal position.

    7. NOTE:

    Folding top must be in closed position.

  7. Disconnect the folding top pump electrical connector.
  8. GM3221602

    Remove the folding top pump package (1) and lay aside.

  9. GM3221603

    To remove the sound capsule (1) remove the tape (2).

  10. Place the pump in an appropriate container.
  11. GM3221604

    Remove 3 connector plate bolts (2).

  12. Loosen the folding top connector plate (1).
  13. Remove the folding top hydraulic lines from the folding top pump.
