Removal Procedure

WARNING:

In order to reduce hydraulic pressure, ensure that the folding top has not been operated for 6 minutes before performing this procedure. Failure to do so may result in personal injury.

  1. Remove the trunk inner cover panels and uncover the hydraulic pump. Refer to Folding Top Pump Replacement .
    NOTE:

    For all operations regarding the folding top hydraulic cylinders: Between hydraulic cylinder and folding top hydraulic hose are sealing rings installed. Note the position and keep them for later installation. If necessary replace the sealing rings.

  2. GM3352016

    Unclip the folding top hydraulic cylinder hose which will be replaced out of the retainers (1).

  3. GM3221604

    Remove the 3 connector plate bolts (2) and loosen the connector plate from the hydraulic pump (1).

  4. Slide out the 12 hydraulic hoses from the hydraulic pump.
  5. GM3352018

    Click out the secure ring (1) from the hydraulic cylinder hose which will be replaced and move the hose out of the connector plate (2).

  6. NOTE:

    Mark the routing of the hydraulic hose which will be replaced.

  7. Click out the hydraulic cylinder hose which will be replaced out from the hydraulic cylinder.
  8. Remove the folding top hydraulic hose out of the car.
