Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify there are no DTCs set.
    • Go to next step: If no DTCs are set 
  3. Verify the M89 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Motor operates while commanding the M89 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Motor between Open and Close with a scan tool.
    • If the motor does not operate 

      Refer to DTC B36AC .

    • Go to next step: If the motor operates 
  4. Verify the scan tool B246 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Closed Switch and B247 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Lid Latch Open Switch parameters change between Active and Inactive when closing and opening folding top.
    • Go to next step: If parameters change between Active and Inactive 
  5. Verify the M87 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Flaps Motor operates while opening and closing the folding top.
    • If the M87 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Flaps Motor does not work 

      Refer to DTC B36A5 .

    • Go to next step: If the M87 Folding Top Stowage Compartment Flaps Motor works 
  6. Verify the M86 Folding Top Header Latch Motor operates while commanding the M86 Folding Top Header Latch Motor between Open and Close with a scan tool.
    • If the motor does not operate 

      Refer to DTC B36B4 .

    • Go to next step: If the motor operates 
  7. Verify the scan tool B254 Rear Compartment Lid Position Sensor (Horizontal) and B254 Rear Compartment Lid Position Sensor (Vertical) is between 9 - 33% and changes with the opening and closing of the rear compartment lid.
    • If not between 9 - 33% or does not change 

      Refer to DTC B36B2 .

    • Go to next step: If between 9 - 33% and changes 
  8. Verify the M23 Folding Top Pump Motor turns on and off when commanding the KR149A Folding Top Pump Motor Relay 1 parameter On and Off with a scan tool.
    • Go to next step: If the motor turns on 
  9. Verify the M23 Folding Top Pump Motor turns on and off when commanding the KR149B Folding Top Pump Motor Relay 2 parameter On and Off with a scan tool.
    • Go to next step: If the motor turns on 
  10. Verify the power folding top opens and closes when pressing the open and close S134 Folding Top/Global Window Switches.
    • If the top does not open and close 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the top opens and closes 
  11. All OK.
