Circuit/System Description

The operation of the convertible top is automatic. The user of the vehicle presses the open or close switch and the folding top control module automatically latches and unlatches the convertible top while hydraulic power actuation provides the force to raise and lower the top. The folding top/global window switch is a rocker type switch that controls open and close functions of the power folding top. The folding top control module commands the folding top to move in response to the switch signal. Based on the switch input, the module applies voltage to the appropriate controls circuits of the folding top pump motor in order to control the hydraulic system used to operate the folding top.
