The folding top control module monitors the rear compartment lid position sensor. With the assumption of a vehicle on a level ground, the rear compartment lid position sensor signal with closed gate is checked for correctness. Value must be within +/- 5% of a reference value, otherwise an "Installation Fault" is indicated via DTC. If within the tolerance band, this actual value shall be taken as the zero reference
