Static Test
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate Q16 Folding Top Solenoid Valve.
- Test for 7 - 11 Ω between the control terminal 1 and the ground terminal 2.
- If not between 7 - 11 Ω
Replace the Q16 Folding Top Solenoid Valve.
- Go to next step: If between 7 - 11 Ω
- If not between 7 - 11 Ω
- Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the Q16 Folding Top Solenoid Valve housing/case.
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the Q16 Folding Top Solenoid Valve.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- All OK.
Dynamic Test
- Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the control terminal 1 and 12 V. Install a jumper wire between the ground terminal 2 and ground.
- Verify the Q16 Folding Top Solenoid Valve turns on & off/clicks, etc.
- If the Q16 Folding Top Solenoid Valve does not turn on & off/clicks, etc.
Replace the Q16 Folding Top Solenoid Valve.
- Go to next step: If the Q16 Folding Top Solenoid Valve does turn on & off/clicks, etc.
- If the Q16 Folding Top Solenoid Valve does not turn on & off/clicks, etc.
- All OK.
