Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The folding top control module monitors two hall-effect switches at the header latch: The folding top header latch motor latched position sensor is located on the right hand side and the folding top header latch motor unlatched position sensor is on the left hand side. The switches monitor the status of the header latch. The header latch is controlled by the folding top header latch motor.

The sensors are two-wire hall effect sensors providing an input to the folding top control module. One terminal is low reference and the other is a 12V signal circuit.
