Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .
  2. GM2189651

    Cut the housing along the marked grove (1), using a carpenters knife.

  3. GM2190342

    Wind the vertical adjustment screw (1) until the marked dimension (2) reaches 9 mm (0.36 in).

    Remove the high beam cap and insert a screwdriver into the marked position (1). Unsnap the joint by turning the screwdriver.

  5. GM2190344

    Rotate the headlamp leveling actuator from the original position (1) counter-clockwise on the left headlamp (or clockwise on the right one) until the headlamp leveling actuator unlocks (2).

  6. Disconnect the wiring harness connector and remove the headlamp leveling actuator from the headlamp.
