Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the engine control module from its bracket and reposition it without disconnecting any electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the engine wiring harness from the brackets as necessary.
  4. Remove the power brake booster vacuum pipe from the power brake booster vacuum pump. Refer to Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement .

    Remove the engine wiring harness nut (2) and remove the engine wiring harness bracket (1).

  6. GM2949073

    Remove the power brake booster pump bolts (2) along with the stud (3).

  7. Remove the power brake booster pump (2).
  8. Remove and DISCARD the power brake booster pump gasket (1):
