Removal Procedure

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

  1. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  2. Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake hose ends and the brake pipe fitting.
  3. GM2027735

    Use a flare nut wrench on the brake pipe fitting (1) and a backup wrench on the brake hose (3) under the brake hose retainer (2) as shown.

  4. Cap or plug the brake pipe fitting end and the brake hose end to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

    Remove the brake hose bolt (1) and remove and DISCARD the 2 brake hose gaskets (3).

  6. Remove the front brake hose (2) from the brake hose brackets.
