Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- NOTE:
The flattened side of the brake hose grommets must face the open side of the brake hose brackets. Do not twist or tension the brake hose.
Install the front brake hose (2) to the front brake hose brackets.
- Install the brake hose bolt (1) in conjunction with 2 NEW brake hose gaskets (3).
- Tighten the brake hose bolt (1) to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
- Remove the caps or plugs from the brake pipe fitting end and the brake hose end.
Install the brake hose (3) to the brake hose body bracket.
- Install the brake hose retainer (2) over the anti-rotation tabs of the brake hose (3).
- Connect the brake pipe fitting (1) to the brake hose.
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 18 N.m (14 lb ft).
- Ensure that the hose does not make contact with any part of the suspension. Check the hose in extreme right and extreme left turn conditions. If the hose makes contact, remove the hose and correct the condition.
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
