Removal Procedure

- Battery Replacement - Remove
- Battery Tray Replacement - Remove
- NOTE:
Do NOT disconnect the engine coolant hoses.
Radiator Surge Tank Clip(2) - Remove
- Slide the radiator surge tank forward and lift to remove.(1)
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt(1) - Remove[2x]
Power Brake Booster Bolt(1) - Remove[2x]
- NOTE:
- Do NOT open the hydraulic brake system.
- A second technician is required.
Pull the brake booster and the BPMV assembly forward in order to get access to the brake pedal bracket nuts (1).
- Remove the brake pedal bracket nuts.
- Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side - Remove
- Steering Column Upper Trim Cover Replacement - Remove
- Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement - Remove
- Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement - Remove
- Steering Column Replacement - Remove
Remove the brake and accelerator pedal insulator (1).
Electrical Connector(3) - Disconnect
- Brake Pedal Position Sensor Bolt(2) - Remove
- Brake Pedal Position Sensor(1) - Remove
Disconnect the brake pedal push rod (1) from the brake pedal (2). Press the 2 tabs of the click fit connector (3) together and pull the brake pedal a bit to facilitate the removal.
Remove and DISCARD the click fit connector (1) from the brake pedal (2).
Electrical Connector(2) - Disconnect
- Bolt(3) - Remove
- Accelerator Pedal Assembly(1) - Remove
Remove the 3rd hand feature (1).
- Remove the 2 3rd hand features (3).
- Bolt(2) - Remove[4x]
- Separate wiring harness from the brake and accelerator pedal assembly.
- Remove the brake and accelerator pedal assembly (4) from vehicle.
- Transfer components as necessary.
