Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Install the brake and accelerator pedal assembly (4) to the vehicle.
- Install wiring harness to brake pedal bracket.
- Install the 2 3rd hand features (3).
- Install the 3rd hand feature (1).
- Bolt(2) - Install and tighten[4x]20 N.m (15 lb ft)
Accelerator Pedal Assembly(1) - Install
- Bolt(3) - Install
- Electrical Connector(2) - Connect
Install the NEW click fit connector (1) to the brake pedal (2).
Connect the brake pedal push rod (1) to the brake pedal (2).
Brake Pedal Position Sensor(1) - Install
- Brake Pedal Position Sensor Bolt(2) - Install
- Electrical Connector(3) - Connect
Install the brake and accelerator pedal insulator (1).
- Steering Column Replacement - Install
- Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement - Install
- Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement - Install
- Steering Column Upper Trim Cover Replacement - Install
- Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side - Install
- NOTE:
- Do NOT open the hydraulic brake system.
- A second technician is required.
Pull the brake booster and the BPMV assembly forward in order to gain access to the brake pedal bracket nuts (1).
- Install the brake and accelerator pedal assembly nuts (1) and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
Power Brake Booster Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[2x] 19 N.m (14 lb ft).
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[2x] 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
- NOTE:
Do NOT disconnect the engine coolant hoses.
Install the radiator surge tank.(1)
- Radiator Surge Tank Clip(2) - Install
- Battery Tray Replacement - Install
- Battery Replacement - Install
- Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration - Install
