Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

  1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  2. GM3471729

    Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the surge tank coolant fluid sensor (5).

  3. Remove the clamp (2) from the surge tank (1) and the surge tank bracket (3).
  4. Put the surge tank (1) aside.

    NOTE:

    Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the master cylinder outlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Remove the brake pressure modulator valve primary pipe (1) from the master cylinder (2).

  6. NOTE:

    Cap the brake pipe fitting and plug the brake pressure modulator valve inlet port to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  7. Remove the brake pressure modulator valve primary pipe (1) from the brake pressure modulator valve (3).
  8. Unclip the brake pressure modulator valve primary pipe (1) from the 3 - way clip (4).
