Preliminary Procedures
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Remove the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement
- Place protective coverings and appropriate drain pans below heater core to protect the carpeting.

Heater Core Procedure
- Remove the inlet and outlet pipes from the core and reposition enough to allow the heater core to clear.
- Change sealing washers.
