Removal Procedure

- Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
- Remove the instrument panel lower center compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Center Compartment Replacement .
- Without disconnecting the electrical connector, remove the engine control module and hang aside. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
- Verify that the transmission range selector lever is in park position.
- Verify that the transmission manual shift lever is in park position.
Disconnect the transmission range selector lever cable terminal (1) from the transmission manual shift lever pin.
- Press the locking tabs inward in order to release the transmission range selector lever cable (2) from the cable bracket.
Release the range selector cable adjuster clip (2).
- Press the locking tabs inwards (arrows) in order to release the transmission range selector lever cable (1).
- Remove the transmission range selector lever cable from the transmission control.
Remove the transmission range selector lever cable grommet (2) from the bulkhead (1).
- Remove the transmission range selector lever cable (3).
