Removal Procedure

    NOTE:

    Adjust the automatic transmission range selector cable while the transmission and the gear selector are in the park position only. Failure to do so may cause miss-adjustment.

  1. Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
  2. Remove the instrument panel center compartment mat.
  3. Remove the instrument panel lower center compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Center Compartment Replacement .
  4. GM2191447

    Unlock the range selector lever cable adjust lock (1).

  5. Without disconnecting the electrical connector, remove the engine control module and hang aside. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
