Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The yaw rate, lateral accelerometer and the longitudinal sensors are combined into one sensor called the multi-axis acceleration sensor that is external to the electronic brake control module. Ignition voltage is supplied to the multi-axis acceleration sensor from the electronic brake control module. The multi-axis acceleration sensor communicates with the electronic brake control module via serial data circuit. The electronic brake control module activates the stability control function depending on multi-axis acceleration sensor input.
