Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement (35L (9 US Gallon) Tank)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (35L (9 US Gallon) Tank) .
  2. Disconnect the fuel feed/evaporative emission separator from the fuel tank fuel pump module.
  3. Disconnect the fuel feed/evaporative emission separator hose from the fuel tank fuel pump module.
  4. Disconnect the fuel tank vent valve assembly from the fuel tank fuel pump module.
  5. Remove the electrical connector.

J-45747  Fuel Pump Lock Ring Remover/Installer
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools (Diagnostic Tools)Special Tools (Service Repair Tools) .
2 Fuel Pump
3 Fuel Pump Seal
Procedure 
Discard the old seal and replace it with the new fuel pump seal.
