Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Slide a NEW crankshaft rear oil seal (2) over the EN-51151 - 1 installer (1) onto the EN-51151 - 2 installer (3).
- Remove the EN-51151 - 1 installer (1).
- Install the EN-523 - 1 handle (3) to the EN-51151 - 2 installer (2).
- Install the crankshaft rear oil seal ring using the EN-51151 - 2 installer (3) along with the EN-523 - 1 handle (1) to the crankshaft rear oil seal housing (2).
- Clean the crankshaft rear oil seal housing sealing surfaces.
- Apply approximately a 3.0 mm (0.12 in) thick bead of sealant (1) to the crankshaft rear oil seal housing (2). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers

NOTE: The complete installation procedure of the crankshaft rear oil seal housing must be fitted within 10 minutes of applying the sealing compound. DO NOT coat sealing compound into the crankshaft rear oil seal housing bolt bores and threads. - Apply additional sealant (1, 2) to the transitions between the cylinder block and the lower crankcase in the shown area.
- Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing (1) - Install
- Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] 10 N.m (89 lb in).
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .NOTE: Install bolts in previously marked positions.
- Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] 10 N.m (89 lb in).NOTE: Install bolts in previously marked positions.
