Fuel Injection Pump Installation

Check the intake camshaft position.

Insert a plastic ruler (2) until it stops against the cam (1).
Draw a line (3) at the plastic ruler with a pen.
Rotate the camshaft (1) at the crankshaft until the lowest point of the plastic ruler (2) is reached.

NOTE: Second technician is required.
Fuel Injection Pump Shaft Lifter Roller (2) - Install

Fuel Injection Pump Gasket (3) - Install a NEW gasket.
Fuel Injection Pump (1) - Install
Install the 2 fuel injection pump bolts (3) alternating in steps of turn.
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
Fuel Injection Pump Bolt (2) - Tighten 11 N.m (97 lb in).
