Camshaft Position Actuator Adjuster Installation

Special Tools 

• EN-45059  Angle Meter
• EN-51148  Holding Tool

1. Install the exhaust camshaft position actuator adjuster (2).

2. Mind the camshaft pin (1), the exhaust camshaft position actuator adjuster does fit in only one position.
3. Install and handtighten a NEW exhaust camshaft position actuator adjuster bolt (3).
4. Install the intake camshaft position actuator adjuster (1).

5. Mind the camshaft pin (2), the intake camshaft position actuator adjuster does fit in only one position.
6. Install and handtighten a NEW intake camshaft position actuator adjuster bolt (3).
7. Install the EN-51148  holding tool (1) to camshafts and to the cylinder head.

   1. Turn the camshafts at the camshaft position actuator adjuster bolts (5, 6) until the EN-51148  holding tool fits.
   2. Tighten the bolt (3) in the middle.
   3. Tighten the 2 outer bolts (2, 4).
8. Tighten the camshaft position actuator adjuster bolts (5, 6) in 2 passes:
   1. First pass to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).
   2. Final pass to an additional 120 - 135 degrees, using the EN-45059  meter.
