Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Removal

Special Tools 

EN-652  Flywheel Holder

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Install the EN-652  holder (2), lock the automatic transmission flex plate via the starter ring gear.

2. Loosen the 8 automatic transmission flex plate bolts (1).
3. Remove the EN-652  holder (2).
4. Remove and DISCARD the 8 automatic transmission flex plate bolts (1).

5. Remove the automatic transmission flex plate (2).
6. Remove the crankshaft position reluctor ring (1).
