Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Installation

• EN-45059  Angel Meter

Equivalent regional tools: Special Tools 

1. Clean the 8 crankshaft threads.
2. Install the crankshaft position reluctor ring (1).

3. Apply thread lock agent to the 8 NEW bolts (1). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers .

4. Install the automatic transmission flex plate (2).
5. Loosely install the 8 NEW automatic transmission flex plate bolts (1).
   CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
6. Install the EN-652  holder (2), lock the automatic transmission flex plate via the starter ring gear.

7. Tighten the 8 NEW automatic transmission flex plate bolts (1) in the sequence as shown.

   CAUTION: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .
   1. First Pass: 30 N.m (22 lb ft),
   2. Final Pass: 70 degrees - EN-45059  Meter
8. Remove the EN-652  holder.
