Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The hybrid/EV battery pack cooling fan draws air through the hybrid/EV battery pack to control the temperature of the hybrid/EV battery pack and the 14 V Power Module.

The Enable, Control and Feedback circuits connect the hybrid/EV powertrain control module 2 to the hybrid/EV battery pack cooling fan.

When the Enable circuit is high, the fan is allowed to operate as specified by the Control circuit signal. The pulse-width modulated Control circuit signal from the hybrid/EV powertrain control module 2 determines the hybrid/EV battery pack cooling fan speed. The higher the duty cycle, the higher the fan speed. The hybrid/EV battery pack cooling fan utilizes a pulse-width modulated signal on the Feedback circuit to the hybrid/EV powertrain control module 2. During normal operation, the feedback circuit provides fan speed information to the hybrid/EV powertrain control module 2.
