Circuit/System Testing

NOTE:
Use the schematics and connector end views to identify the following:
- The control modules that share the K20 Engine Control Module terminals X1 7 and 8 High Speed GMLAN and Powertrain High Speed serial data circuits.
- Vehicle OFF, all systems OFF, all keys at least 3 meters away from vehicle, all access doors closed. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down. Disconnect the harness connectors at the K40 Engine Control Module and K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the serial data circuits end to end between the K20 Engine Control Module, T6 Power Inverter Module and K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
- If 2 Ω or greater
Repair the open/high resistance in the serial data circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω
Replace the K114B Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module 2.
- If 2 Ω or greater
- Verify that DTC P162D does not set again.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the K20 Engine Control Module.
- If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
