Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module harness connector.
  2. Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
  3. Test for 0 V on the enable circuit terminal 2 of the fuel pump driver control module.
    • If greater than 0 V
    1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K20 ECM.
    2. Test for less than 1 V between the enable circuit and ground.
      • If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
      • If less than 1 V, replace the K20 ECM.
    • If 0 V
  4. Ignition ON, command the Fuel Pump Enable ON with a scan tool.
  5. Test for B+ on the enable circuit terminal 2 of the fuel pump driver control module.
    • If less than B+
    1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K20 ECM.
    2. Test for infinite resistance between the enable circuit and ground.
      • If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
      • If infinite resistance
    3. Test for less than 2 Ω in the enable circuit end to end.
      • If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
      • If less than 2 Ω, replace the K20 ECM.
    • If B+
  6. Replace the K111 Fuel Pump Driver Control Module.
