ECM detects the brake pedal position sensor signal is stuck in a range for less than 1 s.

BPP sensor voltage is less than 0.25 V for 1 s.

BPP sensor voltage is greater than 4.75 V for 1 s.

BPP sensor value varies greater than a calibrated value.
