Circuit/System Verification

CAUTION: Refer to Clean, Dry, Low Pressure Gas Source Caution .

NOTE: Refer to GE-41413-A operation manual for detailed instructions in Evaporative Emission Control System Diagnosis.

Verify the following conditions do not exist in the EVAP system:
- A loose, missing or damaged capless fuel fill flapper doors.
- A stuck closed, blocked or restricted EVAP purge solenoid valve.
- A blockage or restriction in the EVAP purge solenoid valve vacuum supply, purge vapor pipe or EVAP canister.
  - If a condition is found
    Repair or replace as necessary.
  - If no conditions are found
Connect the CH-48096 to the EVAP purge solenoid valve.
CAUTION: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Caution .
Connect the GE-41413-A to CH-48096 .
Disconnect the fresh air intake tube from the EVAP leak detection pump.
Plug the fresh air port of the EVAP leak detection pump
Engine running, observe the GE-41413-A vacuum gauge and Fuel Tank Pressure parameter with a scan tool. There should be vacuum present.
- If no vacuum is detected
  Refer to Circuit System Testing
- If vacuum is detected
Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- If the DTC sets
  Refer to Circuit System Testing
- If the DTC does not set
All OK.
