Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Engine Running.
  2. Verify DTC P0406 is not set.
    • If the DTC is set 

      Refer to DTC P0405 or P0406

    • If the DTC is not set 
  3. Verify the scan tool EGR Cooler Temperature Sensor parameter is between -39° to +999°C (-38° to +1, 830°F) and changes with engine run time.
    • If not within the specified range or does not change 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If within the specified range and changes 
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not set. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  5. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the DTC does not set 
  6. All OK.
