Removal Procedure

  1. Set the park brake.
  2. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the automatic transmission range selector lever cable terminal (2) from the shift lever pin.

  4. Release the automatic transmission range selector lever cable retainer (1) and remove the automatic transmission range selector lever cable.
  5. Disconnect the transmission control electrical connector.
  6. Remove the main shaft bolt nut and washer (1) from the transmission control assembly.

  7. Remove the main shaft bolt (1).

  8. Pull the transmission control assembly (1) rearward and upward to unseat it from the transmission control base.

  9. Remove the transmission control assembly from the vehicle.
